When looking at the billboard holiday hot 100 the top 5 songs are all the classics that were written many years ago, and there are only 3 songs in the top 40 that were written in the last 20 years. The first of the 3 newer songs was Kelly Clarkson's "Underneath the Christmas Tree". In the episode the first thing the podcasters notice was how this song was a mix of many classics.
